OAK RIDGE – Get ready for a road trip.
That’s what Oak Ridge girls’ basketball coach Paige Taylor told her team after Saturday night’s 53-52 victory over visiting Sevier County in a Class 4A state sectional game.
“Since I started coaching,” Taylor said, “I told my first team, ‘If we win sectional, we’re going to get a bus and take a ride on I-40.’
“I told them the same thing, ‘We’re getting ready to take a ride down I-40 and head to the state tournament.’”
