ATHENS – Bearden continued the amazing turnaround from an 0-5 start to its football season Friday night.
The Bulldogs won their first playoff game since 2010 with a 23-6 victory over host McMinn County in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
Bearden (5-6) avenged a 37-13 loss at McMinn County (9-2) on Sept. 27, which was the Bulldogs’ fifth consecutive loss starting the season.
