Perhaps the youthful Webb School of Knoxville girls’ soccer team did some growing up Thursday night.
Freshman Pearce Groer scored on a penalty kick after a hand-ball call in the first half and visiting Webb posted a 1-0 victory over Christian Academy of Knoxville in a non-district match.
Of the 24 players on Webb’s roster, 17 are freshmen or sophomores.
