Talk circulated around the Catholic football camp this preseason about a new addition to the roster. A big addition, actually.
Sure the Fighting Irish have had a player here and there transfer in to the school, but this would be an in-house newcomer: Catholic’s 6-foot-9 forward and Class of 2020 basketball star, Akeem Odusipe.
But he wasn’t at the Knoxville 7-on-7 Classic at Powell in July. He didn’t grace the field during the Irish’s scrimmage at Maryville earlier this month, either.
Odusipe had his reasons. He’s had an insanely busy schedule this summer, given he’s a Power 5 basketball prospect.
The pads came on Monday, however.
