What a difference three years makes.
Walker Trusley made his first career start at South-Doyle three years ago, culminating a 1-9 season with a loss. On Friday, Powell coach Matt Lowe called his quarterback into the postgame huddle and asked a simple question.
“What’s our record?”
Trusley proudly screamed his answer to the surrounding teammates, friends and family, as the Panthers capped off their first unbeaten regular season since 2011 with a 15-12 road win over the Cherokees.
