MARYVILLE – Fast, furious, and relentless.
The Murfreesboro Blackman girls’ basketball team got after Powell from the get-go Thursday with its man-to-man defense and rolled to a 69-43 victory in the Renasant Bank Christmas Tournament at Maryville High.
If Powell (10-3) has aspirations of making a run to state, facing teams like Blackman will only help the Lady Panthers get battle-tested for the postseason.
