As sharp as Powell looked Friday night against Oak Ridge, it wouldn’t be fair to say that the Panthers were looking ahead to a potential state semifinal matchup with West.
But it was clear that as soon as the clock hit zero, the Panthers were already thinking about next week with excitement.
The defending 5A state champions defeated visiting Oak Ridge 43-13, setting up a huge area contest against the Rebels.
