Call it a midseason statement game.
In a battle of fierce rivals who both came in unbeaten, Powell manhandled host Halls 49-0 on Friday.
Quarterback Walker Trusley fired five touchdown passes as the Panthers (6-0) won the Class 5A non-region game against the Red Devils (5-1).
Powell came in as the No. 5 team in the 5Star Preps Rankings. Halls was No. 13.
