Halls High School football coach Scott Cummings might endure some growing pains here and there during the first season of his efforts to forge the Red Devils into a consistent playoff contender.
But after Friday night’s scrimmage at Bearden, Cummings made his players pause during their post-practice huddle and appreciate the program’s step forward.
“We need a feel-good moment,” said Cummings, whom Halls hired in late December 2018. “The thing about is: we got some good football players. We’re just learning how to play the game with an aggressive physical style.
“We’re learning how to play to in a mold — that I think Halls is built for.”
