Benson Napier often envisioned and talked about taking over the Coalfield football program someday — but in a much different way than the manner he actually did.
The 25-year-old Napier was named the new football coach at Coalfield on Friday, replacing longtime Coalfield football coach Keith Henry.
Henry passed away on the final day of the 2020 high school football season, Saturday, Dec. 5.
Napier played for Henry at Coalfield during the 2010-2013 seasons.
