OAK RIDGE – Two veteran coaches gave each other a post-game hug near midfield Friday night at Oak Ridge’s Blankenship Field.
It was seconds after Oak Ridge coach Joe Gaddis and his Wildcats (13-2) advanced to the Class 5A state championship game with a 14-0 victory over South-Doyle (10-4).
Gaddis got some words of encouragement from his friend, South-Doyle coach Clark Duncan.
“I just told (Gaddis) I was proud of him,” Duncan said. “I told him to go win it.”
