It was only a preseason passing competition, but South-Doyle coach Clark Duncan wanted to get his point across to his team.
He even put an exclamation point on it.
After six consecutive wins in the two-day Knoxville Classic 7-on-7 tournament at Powell High School, the Cherokees fell to Catholic, 14-3, in the championship game Tuesday.
The fact that Duncan spent a protracted time addressing his team in the post-game huddle spoke volumes about the lofty expectations at South-Doyle.
