It’s commonplace for quarterbacks to sport green non-contact jerseys during spring practices and scrimmages. The last thing any coach, teammate or fan wants to see is for QB1 to go down with injury.
So Central quarterback Dakota Fawver donned a green No. 2 jersey Thursday during a scrimmage Farragut instead of his normal No. 2 game jersey.
But something else with his on-field attire was missing.
Something he had played with the entire season during the Bobcats’ march to the 2018 Class 5A state championship.
