The West High School football team entered last season with one of the best defenses in the state but an offensive counterpart that needed to mature fast.

But West left that night with a 34-28 loss. Star defensive end and Power 5 recruit Tyrece Edwards lingered on the field, long after the final horn. What he was contemplating, only he knows.
One thing was certain: he didn’t like how his junior season ended and he only has one more chance on the prep level to make it right.
5Star Preps visited the West Rebels on Tuesday — their first day of 2019 spring practice — to see if the pieces are in place for a redemption story.
