MARYVILLE – As the Bearden boys’ basketball team sauntered to midcourt Tuesday night to accept their District 4-AAA Tournament championship, you got the feeling they weren’t at all satisfied.
Sure, the Bulldogs had just won by 33 points. But they have a loftier goal in mind.
Winning the district tournament at William Blount was just the first postseason step planned on a journey the Bulldogs hope ends with a Class AAA state championship.
