Loudon volleyball coach Jody Bunch felt like she hit the jackpot when she was contacted by Sydney Smith in May.
Smith was a second-team all-state player at Lake Orion High in Michigan and helped the team win its first state championship in 2018. She was moving to the family’s second home in Tellico Village for her senior year and was looking for a high school.
Loudon was on the list.
