South-Doyle junior guard Tai Cates got hot Saturday night, and that meant trouble for the Sequoyah boys’ basketball team.
Cates scored 14 of his 30 points in the second quarter as the Cherokees posted a 69-48 victory in the District 5-AAA semifinals at South-Doyle.
