Get ready for some must-watch TV.
One of Knox County’s hottest football rivalries in recent years resumes Thursday Night (7 p.m., MyVLT) when Powell travels to West in a matchup of Class 5A state powers.
It’s a crucial Region 3-5A game as Powell (7-0, 3-0) and West (7-0, 2-0) seek the region championship and bragging rights heading into the postseason.
Not to mention it’s a matchup of the state’s No. 1 (West) and No. 2 (Powell) teams in the Associated Press Class 5A rankings.
“It’s the situation every team in the entire state wants to be in going into Week 8,” Powell coach Matt Lowe said Monday.
