The Powell Panthers’ chances at repeating as state champions in Class 5A will be a touch more difficult this fall, especially with game-changing defensive tackle Walter Nolen now on the roster at Texas A&M.
All along these last few years, though, there has been one constant and highly undervalued player at Powell who has not only been the “glue guy” to keep it all together but has also been a high-level producer on both sides of the football.
And he may just end up being the most important piece to the Panthers’ season again this fall.
