West looks to make history this high school football season as the Rebels aim for their third-consecutive state Class 5A championship in a row.
Since the advent of 5A play in Tennessee in 1993, no state champion has been able to pull off a three-peat in the classification.
From 1993 to 2008, Class 5A was the highest classification in Tennessee. In 2009, it became the second-highest classification behind 6A.
West has defeated Page in the last two state championship games.
Almost as remarkable as West’s recent run is the fact that the Rebels are looking to three-peat under three different starting quarterbacks.
