What a difference a year makes for South-Doyle football player Shawn Gary.
This time last year, the relatively unknown Gary was penciled in as a possible two-way contributor at defensive back and wide receiver.
Heading into the 2021 season, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Gary is widely regarded as one of the state’s premier running backs.
