The TSSAA announced its finalists for the 2019-20 Mr. and Miss Basketball awards on Thursday morning.
Players are selected by a committee of statewide media members based on regular-season performance, academics and character.
The winners will be announced during a ceremony at Middle Tennessee State’s Murphy Center at 8 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, March 10.
The last area boys’ player to win Mr. Basketball was Alex Fountain (Wartburg, Class A) in 2013. Casey Collier won Miss Basketball in Division II-A last season.
