Sometimes it pays to have the No. 2-ranked player in the nation on the defensive side of the ball.
The Powell Panthers were certainly thankful for 6-foot-4, 325 pound defensive lineman Walter Nolen in a 27-13 Class 5A quarterfinal win Friday against Rhea County.
