West’s impenetrable defense held its fourth consecutive playoff opponent out of the end zone Friday night as the Rebels blitzed Walker Valley 38-3.
The win moves West into the state championship for the second year in a row – and it’s a rematch of the 2022 title game.
The Rebels (13-1) will square off with Page (13-1) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga in the Class 5A BlueCross Bowl.
“We wanted one more week to be together, and our goal is to go get it (the state championship),” said Rebels coach Lamar Brown.
West beat Page 47-13 to claim the state crown a year ago.
Page edged previously unbeaten Southwind 10-7 in the other 5A semifinal game Friday.
