West’s soccer team didn’t get off to a great start Tuesday night, but it sure did finish strong.
The Rebels rallied from an early 1-0 deficit and posted a 3-1 victory over visiting Maryville in the Region 2-AAA elimination semifinals.
West (15-4) advances to Thursday’s region championship at Bearden, which beat visiting Oak Ridge 7-0 Tuesday in their region semifinal.
“The first 10 minutes were rough, but we turned it around and started dominating the game,” West junior midfielder Alden Wilson said. “I think it showed with the final score line, so that was fantastic.”
