There’s a misconception that cross country is exclusively an individual sport.
Nothing was further from the truth during Tuesday’s Region 2 Large Schools cross-country meet at Tommy Schumpert Park in North Knoxville.
The focus was squarely on the team prizes as Hardin Valley’s boys and Farragut’s girls dominated.
The order of the morning for both tradition-rich programs was clearly about taking care of business and next focusing on next week’s state meet in Hendersonville.
