This fourth installment of What You Missed is just like the others, in that it is stuffed full of news and notes that may have slipped past your eyes this week on social media.
So let’s get you caught up.
Catholic offensive lineman Bryn Tucker is still reeling in offers, even after announcing his top five schools (Auburn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, LSU and Virginia Tech) on July 4.

Speaking of Catholic, its most famous football alumnus returned to campus this week. Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith held his youth camp on Thursday and Friday along with his friend and fellow NFL player Lee Smith, who played at Powell High School.

Lukas Cook, a top-flight Knoxville baseball prospect in the Class of 2020, made his new verbal commitment. In December 2016, he committed to Mississippi State but re-opened his recruitment recently. And while the former Hardin Valley player seemed destined to play for Grace Christian Academy in 2019, Grace Christian parted ways this week with head coach Mitch Turner, who led the Rams to a state title and state runner-up in five seasons. Cook’s Twitter bio no longer reads “2020 GCA.” Anyway, here is his commitment …
Truly Blessed and Honored to say that I have committed to further my academic and baseball career at the University of South Carolina!! #SpursUp @DRBElite @JBrownPG pic.twitter.com/V8J2wqRZYr

Christ Presbyterian Academy basketball coach Drew Maddux made a Twitter splash a couple weeks ago when he made an 84-foot, court-long backwards shot. Then shocked everyone with a made basketball shot, hook-shot style, out of a moving golf cart. Now, he’s got an even more impressive make. Have a look.

South-Doyle football coach Clark Duncan posted a pretty cool pic on Friday of his quarterback getting some tutelage from a Maryville High School legend – former Rebels coach George Quarles, who’s now at Furman. Quarles won 11 state titles in 18 seasons and won 93.9 percent of the games he coached.
