Fulton linebacking corps is in great shape this season. Four of its top linebackers have scholarship offers from the FCS level and up. Robquan Thomas, an inside linebacker, made his commitment on June 28.

Catholic lineman Bryn Tucker has said multiple times that he’s taking it easy during this recruiting process, that he’s in no rush. But on June 30, the rising junior tweeted that “Official Top 5 dropping July 4th.” The means he’s announcing his top five schools this coming week. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Tucker is a 4-star prospect with offers from the likes of: Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
Raul Placeres, the former Gatlinburg-Pittman boys’ basketball coach, was named coach-in-waiting at Maryville College, as the school announced that longtime coach Randy Lambert will be retiring at the end of this coming season.

Tracy Malone announced another career move on Twitter this week. The former East Ridge and Whitwell head coach, who served as offensive coordinator at Austin-East last season, posted on Twitter that he is switching schools to keep the same position.

Jellico football has found its football coach for this season, the Lafollette Press posted on Friday.
Michael Croley, a former coach at several Kentucky schools and on the staff of Scott County, Kentucky teams that competed for state titles, has been named head football coach at Jellico High School, according to an e-mail this morning from Jellico High principal Donna Singley.
