Tommy Winton had just gotten into the car late Saturday afternoon to head back to Knoxville from his football camp at the University of Alabama when he received a phone call.
The person on the other end of the line was offering him a scholarship to an SEC school.
But it wasn’t an Alabama coach calling.
This offer came from Tennessee.
