When Farragut High School’s baseball program plays host to its annual Throwback Night, that only means one thing: the crack of wooden bats for a few hours during the regular season instead of the ping of today’s sticks.
The Admirals played Pigeon Forge in the nightcap of the doubleheader on Thursday while Gibbs and Sevier County faced off in the opener.
Gibbs went all out for Throwback Night, donning some uniforms that mirrored those of many, many decades ago.
So while wooden bats likely led to the lack of homers Thursday, there were still some big takeaways from the games.
