Ze’Yana Stewart is making the best of a bad situation.
Oak Ridge’s junior guard suffered a knee injury during AAU basketball in July, putting her on the bench for the first half of the 2023-24 season.
Stewart played her third game since the injury Tuesday night, scoring 27 points in the Lady Wildcats’ 87-56 victory at Karns.
“It feels good. I missed (basketball),” Stewart said. “I really wish it never happened, but it did. I feel like it’s better for my mindset. It just changed the way I look at basketball mentally.”
